Well, I just got over an illness, and I live on the first floor (or second to non-British folk), so if I was going to trip, I'd have done it by now...
The next person has taken a day of work or school because of an illness that amazingly consisted of no symptoms, no cause, and no outcome. An illness undetectable by doctors. One that you could say has never existed...

 (I have better things to do with three-four hours of my life than to sit and watch two teams, neither of which I support.  ) So, American it is, but the original assumption was incorrect.  The next person is taking a break from work/studying.

Yes, an assignment I thought due on Wednesday is actually due next Wednesday. Gives me a bit of extra time to do... stuff.  Who will reply next? And will it be from an office of some sort?

Ah, my work computer chair which is made of many man made fibers and such. But it spins and is on wheels. Yippee!
