Oh, did anyone else notice that the three people having birthdays today are all turning 19? Oh, how cool is that?

Is that David Bowie?” “Never mind that, look!” the American exchange student exclaimed. “I found the Triwizard cup! It’s mine! All mine! I’ll finally get the fame and glory and honor I deserve!” “Stupefy,” said Harry. The American exchange student dropped to the ground, stunned. “Woah!” Cedric exclaimed in astonishment. “You can do magic?!” “Come on, Cedric,” Harry sighed. “We’d better take this together. Oh, I got a stupid A- today on an English paper I handed in. Oh, the (censored) teacher said that the only problem with it was that in one sentence I used a comma instead of a semi-colon. Oh, a (censored) dot made the whole difference! [Rant] Oh, what do we need semi-colons for?! Oh, a semi-colon is a combination of a period and a comma, right? Oh, a comma is meant to make different parts a sentence stand apart, but is intended to keep the general structure of the sentence alright, because the separated parts are still connected. Oh, a period, OTOH, is used when you want to end a sentence, and signifies that something new is coming. Oh, this new something doesn't need to have a connection with the previous sentence. Oh, and if you put a comma and a period together you get the infamous 'semicolon'. Oh, that would mean that the semicolon is meant to make different parts of the same sentence stand apart because you want the sentence to end, but keep the total structure of the sentence alright because something new is about to come now with related parts that do not necessarily have something to do with the previous sentence. Oh, does that make any sense? Oh, the semicolon is self-contradictory, and shouldn't even exist. [/rant] Oh, thank you.

Oh, you should be glad you don't have the English teacher that I have, she would've found something else wrong with it. Oh, today I got a six out of ten on an analysis of a speech. Oh mind you, I did write it on the bus on an excursion. Oh, this is what a six means: | QUOTE | | Shows knowledge and understanding of much of the language used; is aware of context and audience. Achieves a planned and supported response generally using accurate language and expression | *sigh*
Oh year 12 english is hard
