It's ages away yet, but November will bring with it another bout of madness as NaNoWriMo will be kicking off again.

I've got bits of a new plot fluttering through my mind, and without the foul fiend of commuting, it's going to be a lot easier to do! Anyone else fancy giving it a go this time through? It's definitely fun, but November does disappear into a haze of writing!

Seeing as all possible future prospects point to me temping and being bored out of my skull in November I'll probably give it a whirl. However this also relies of my dad finally installing a form of working internet in our house! Should be a laugh, and means I'll get writing again. I've hit a wall recently...about 2/3 months long so far...

I really want to do one but i cant write anything worth reading. I seriously screwed up my english SAT today soo....
But i do like readin other peoples, cos they rock!

Good luck if ya thinkin bowt doin it...and you are mad! tongue.gif
Imogen
The English SAT today was vile. What they asked you to do on the writing paper was an AS standard thing - to transpose information from one type of text to a completley separate genre.

Don't let it get to you. I'm now boycotting marking for the SATs papers because of their priorities. You CAN do it - trust me!

Willow
What would have been good is...if you somehow got to mark my english paper and just well, *cough*gavemeaseven*cough*
What i didnt like was the shakespeare exam...we had 1 hour 15mins and like 6 pages to write (writing and readin put together) My wrist hurt after id wrote 2 pages. It was ridiculous, i wrote 5 n half pages and my wrist went numb lmao. tongue.gif
Above i think is one of the reasons i have no chance at NaNo...i cant write much!

Anyways...i believe weve already high jacked the question that was put up in this thread!

Whos mad enough to attempt and NaNoWriMo?

I'm definitely, definitely up for it again biggrin.gif I was reading through a transcript of me and Enna when we completed it last year, and it really fired me up to do it this year!

And Willow - why not try giving it a shot anyway? That's the great thing about NaNo - it doesn't matter whether what you're writing is a masterpiece or total rubbish, as long as you churn the words out. And by the end of it, I can guarantee you'd be a better writer from all the practise smile.gif And aside from that, it's pure insane fun. biggrin.gif

*can't wait*

I wish I had the time. My senior year is absolutely full of stuff already. I can't wait to see what everyone else has.

Toying with a possible sequel to INVICTUS so that i cn wrap up some lse ends in the story. Lots of fluff and maybe a little intrigue.

I'd considered participating in it this year, but my sister is getting married on November 20, and I'm her Maid of Honor, and as a former events planner, I have a TON of things to do that month. Adding the stress of NaNo would not be beneficial . . . Maybe November 2006?

JamesTheFirst
I'd do it. Definately... just for the heck of it.

But my brain, long plot bunnies, and paper do not seem to mix. The only thing I can ever write is one-shots, and, with no plot bunnies looking forthcoming....

wallbash.gif

Myeh. I'll just hang around and read everyone else's... and yes, (OT - sorry) the English SAT was icky.) In fact, I'm seriously considering an exam boycott for GCSE.... whistling.gif

I am not planningon doing it this year. Last year I really did cheat and this year I will be at uni and have all kind of work and fun activities to do.

mbwun5
I'm gonna try it again this year. Last year I wasn't so successful, bogging down after 5500 words or so bag.gif , but I'm gonna give it another shot. Hopefully I'll manage a little better this time. I have less going on this year.

Considering my drop out last year, I'm wondering whether I can actually do this and go through with it. Starting at Uni has made me a lot more dedicated, regular, etc., but...

At least my classes won't get in the way. I have very, very little work to do for most of them. I thought college was supposed to be hard. blink.gif

Maybe.
Yoda
Well, seeing as I have a pc connected with the internet this year, and also I'm still only temping job wise, writing for the month of November is beginning to look more and more like a possibility biggrin.gif

And I have a plot bunny safely stored in a padded part of my brain

Yoda, it's a shame about the others running loose and doing damage blink.gif

SPB's!

I'm not entirely sure where Imogen obtained it from, and I'm fairly sure it's probably better not to know...

I don't know what I've done wrong but in a completely unprovoked attack a particularly viscous strain of SPD was released today and it wasted no time in seeking out and executing it's simple but effective instructions.

**NEWS FLASH**

Police are today investigating the link between, a recent break-in at a top secret facility in the Scottish Highlands and a stash of Stealth Plot Bunnies found at the home of a prominent fanfiction author.

I am once again going to participate in NANOWRIMO (A challenge to write a 50,000 word story in a month or less) Why is this Imogen's fault? Well I certainly didn't invite tho plot bunny to bite my leg, and if it wasn't for Imogen talking me into taking part last year, I wouldn't even be contemplating letting this bunnie sink it's teeth in any further.
Drie
Yay! I'll be looking forward to reading your work again...

These bunnies have nothing to do with me.

And I won't be taking part. I have a hard time trying to write about 4000 words in up to a month, let alone 50000.

Love the plot bunny icon - that's fantastic!

I'm not doing NaNo the way I should this year. I've got too many started stories that I haven't finished. What I am going to do is pledge to write the 50,000 words in November, but I'm using the wordage to finish off started stories.

First up is the second half of 'As Time Goes By' and then I'm planning on finishing off 'Home is where the heart is'. Between the two of them, that should make up about the right word length.

Next year, I'll do a whole bunny - casseroled!

I have had a change of mind - I am doing it

Mainly because I have very little work to do. Except for Maths.

Am I the only one that has no clue what my "novel" is gonna be this year? Last year at least I had an idea, this year I got nothing. November is fast approaching and I'm already panicing, is that a bad sign? Anyone else as lost as I am, already?

I was thinking, maybe, I'd start with a Hit and Run car accident and see what happens from there, but I don't really like that idea much right now.

I have just over a week left to figure something out before I have to start writing, and I know I won't have a chance if I fall behind early again.

I have a rough idea for a novel something along the lines of "The Curios Incident of Dog in the nightime"

Only woithout it being a murder mystery.

Might work might not.
