I got this idea from the most touching scene thread, when I asked the group for the name of a movie, based on a quote. Then I thought, let's turn this into a game.
First, someone writes a quote, then someone gets the movie, and if possible, the speaker. Then that person writes the next quote. Please wait for verification, that the quote is right, before posting, unless, the quote is from someone that hasn't been active in the previous 15 minutes, or someone else can verify who said the quote. So, first quote, here it is.

"I shouldn't have told you that."

Ok, who said it?
Della_Luna
HAGRID!!!!
hockeygod
Yep, that's right. Now you get to come up with a quote DL.
Willow

Della_Luna

"Why make trillions when we could make... billions?"
sockless
Dr. Evil!!!! yay!

Della_Luna
Jack Sparrow...Captain Jack Sparrow

"Hop inside my mouth... if you want to live. "
Drie
He he he! Finding Nemo!

Hmmm . . . "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn." wink.gif
hockeygod
Clark Gable said it in Gone with the Wind.
Willow
Hockeygod when you answer and know you've got it right you should really put the quote on the same post so the game can carry on...
hockeygod
I know, I know. Next quote.

"Ducks fly together."
Willow
Mighty Ducks... wink.gif

next quote

'why do you try so hard to fit in, when you were born to stand out'
sockless

Yoda
tsk, tsk! it's the 'air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow', but I don't know if it's European or African! *springy bouncy catapult trick bridge sound* ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHH!

It was, of course, the bridgekeeper/the castle guard from Monty Python's magnificent 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail'

Entropy
Mr. Spock on the second Star Trek movie, The Wrath of Kahn(?).

Here is one everyone should get (because it was one of the coolest movies).

"Fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave."
Drie
Labyrinth! I love that movie!

Okay, here's another:

"Strange things are afoot at the Circle K."
Yoda
It can only be the excellent Ted from the most excellent 'Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure' which is indeed, excellent.

'Well, what if there is no tomorrow? There wasn't one today.'

Yoda, who's seen his new film as well and it's also an excellent adventure biggrin.gif [even if lacking in Ted]

Also guessing, because I know it's not Notting Hill, but 'Bridget Jones's Diary'? It sounds like something the mother says.

Yoda, who was once mugged by a dog
Drie
bag.gif Thanks to Google . . . the answer is What a Girl Wants

That was a tough one, but a funny line!

QUOTE

You were mugged by a dog????

I was 6, the dog was bigger than me tongue.gif

Brill quote hockeygod, has to be Pirates and has to be Capt. Jack Sparrow (best actor Oscar for Depp and not a Russell Crowe in sight, hee-hee!)

'Take a left...*character dodges to the right to avoid a bullet*...no, your other left!'

Yoda, the clue is in the clue biggrin.gif
hershey
QUOTE (Yoda @ Jan 29 2004, 04:05 PM)
'Take a left...*character dodges to the right to avoid a bullet*...no, your other left!'

Yoda, the clue is in the clue biggrin.gif

Drie came in first and the answer to hers is Willy Wonk and the Chocolate Factory

Wish I could answer the other, but I'm stumped. So I think we should let Yoda's quote stand as the next. See above please. rolleyes.gif
hockeygod
Since i have no idea what Yoda's is about, I will do Drie's. It is from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

"What's the matter with you? All you need is faith and trust. And something I forgot; a little bit of pixie dust."
