So close! But you've got one line wrong. Which one, where, and how many letters it represents is something to tease you further.

As I'm going away for a while due to an ex-member of this board giving me grief, the answer is

ANATOMICAL.

In the absence of a new riddle, I have taken it upon myself to create a very bad one to go next, it comes in two parts and both must be answered! Plus, there's a bonus. And as a warning, these are, in fact: Very. Bad. Jokes.

1). What's black and white and rolling all over?
2). What's black and white and laughing all over?
BONUS). What's black and white and read all over? (note: when listening, you hear 'red')

As my brain is feeling like mush at the moment, I can only figure out 2 of the three:

1. soccer ball
2. ????
Bonus: newspaper

Kudos to the person who figures out #2!

1. A penguin rolling down a piste.
2. A penguin after pushing the first one. (see the relationship there?)
BONUS: A newspaper (á la Cristin) or a pamphlet in a waiting room.

Ooooh! What do I win? What do I win?

*gets nudged by Yoda*

Sorry. Next riddle, I suppose.

Each of the following gives a word when answered correctly. You score a point for each correct, but you get five bonus points if you can rearrange the initial letters of the answers to form a bonus word. Who can get the highest score?

1. Which word can mean to halt and sounds like art?
2. Name a three dimensional uniformly pinched oval.
3. Name a part of a brain that can be used in cybernetics easily.
4. This was used to clean wounds according to old women.
5. Where Egypt and Greece collide?
6. Three of Seven.

I think my brain is still in Mexico. I've no idea on any of these. Anyone else care to take a shot?

5) Mediterranean

QUOTE
“Hey Harry!” said Cedric, strolling up to him. “Did you hear those screams? I almost died!... Is that David Bowie?”
“Never mind that, look!” the American exchange student exclaimed. “I found the Triwizard cup! It’s mine! All mine! I’ll finally get the fame and glory and honor I deserve!”
“Stupefy,” said Harry. The American exchange student dropped to the ground, stunned.
“Woah!” Cedric exclaimed in astonishment. “You can do magic?!”
“Come on, Cedric,” Harry sighed. “We’d better take this together. You know, so Draco Malfoy won’t think I’m selfish. I really want to get with him, you know.”

Sadly not. But nice try, though.

I think I may need to give a hint or two:

1. The spellings may not always match.
2. Simple geometry!
3. Latin medical naming conventions may help here...
4. A Simpson's episode springs to mind, or ask your grandma.
5. Collisions are not always physical...
6. Ok, I fluffed that one. Try "Three of Nine".

I think I shall give the answer away.

1. Which word can mean to halt and sounds like art?
Freeze / Freize

2. Name a three dimensional uniformly pinched oval.
Egg

3. Name a part of a brain that can be used in cybernetics easily.
Neurons

4. This was used to clean wounds according to old women.
Iodine

5. Where Egypt and Greece collide?
Delta (delta of the Nile and the forth Greek letter Delta.)

6. Three of Seven.
Earth (the third planet of the seven in the solar system)

Rearrange the initial letters of the answers to form a bonus word.
DEFINE

I'll throw the next riddle open to the first poster.

Okay, I'll post a new riddle!

QUOTE
I am a set of three words, all with the same six letters.
First I am a kingdom, though not royally so.
Then spell me backwards, and I become a thin plate.
Now rearrange my consonants, leaving my vowels in place ...
I am now a type of paper.

What are the words?

here we go:

animal
lamina
manila

handy having a thesaurus shoved in my mind for the "plate" bit after I completely blanked animal kingdom the first time rolleyes.gif

new riddle:

My first is within, both near and far,
My second is central, found in a car,
My third is no vowel, the beginning of end,
My fourth is the last, an afternoon blend.

Together they're a dance (4), a tiny worker (3) and past exercise (3), what words can you find in there? [PS: answer is one four letter word, but dropping beginning/end will give the other two].

Enjoy!
Dave

I worked it out, and Drie agrees I have it. But so I don't infect you lot, I'll let you post first. If no-one gets it, I'll post my answers.
