Come on Robert. You let Jennie make you look bad. That riddle was like two pages back.

I had to make him look bad for posting a riddle that was there a couple of pages back....for one reason, and i think he'll figure out what that reason is sooner or later.... teehee.gif

Okay, next riddle:

It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt.
It lies behind stars and under hills,
And empty holes it fills.
It comes first and follows after,
Ends life, kills laughter.

But you can smell death can't you? Or is that just a metaphore?

Not hate, either.

If it helps, I can say that to me, the answer completely fits the first four lines of the riddle, but I find a bit to argue with in the last two lines. And it's not an emotion or a state of being, although it can be used to describe either of those things.

*grumbles after reading all of the riddles* You people used all the ones I can remember, so here's one that's more of a puzzle.

A convict is sentenced to death. He must choose to enter one of three rooms. The floor of the first erupts into flames every three minutes. The second holds lions who haven't eaten for three years. The third holds an assasin with a rifle.
Which room would be safest for him, and why?

The one with the assasin because he doesn't have any ammunition?
