Paulo Coelho is one of the most popular authors of today. He is a Brazilian author and is best known for his book The Alquemist.(sp?) His other books include Brida, On the shores of the River Piedra I sat down and wept, the Valkyries, Maktub, among others.

I love his books. They deal with life, how you face obstacles and many give up in the way but if you continue and reach the end the rewards are unending. They also deal with faith and how a little faith can help raise your spirits and bring happiness into your life.

I trully recommend his works. Anyone else read them?

I've read "The Alquimist" and, at the time, I found it interesting. It is quite good, actually. It reminds me of one of Borge's stories about a labyrinth....have you read them?
