Well, after lurking for...hrn....how long? *counts on fingers, finds they aren't enough, takes off socks, counts on toes, still not enough, gives up*...well, too long anyway, I seem to have tripped into the new site!

love the look, great design of the front page! Hope to be around here more often, though I've been rather busy of late!

I'm wondering if anyone still actually remembers me tongue.gif bag.gif

Well, salutations from the redheaded dude who lurks the forums of elenarda! tongue.gif

Hey Clinton, welcome back!

Imogen, it seems like we're getting a lot of older members through this site change. So cool! smile.gif

I remember you, Clinton. It's great to see you back here!

Also, hello to those who I've never met before. The thing about a mass mail-shot of 4,784 members is that those who have lost their way over time see a light, follow it, and emerge together. It's akin to time travellers shifting in time to meet everyone new and old. To rub shoulders with those they once knew and those who are very new.

When I joined, there was amazement that the board reached 3,000 members. Possibly not even that. We are now hurtling towards 5,000 members at a rate of knots. Of those, a proportion will decide to move on, whether their choice or not, so we lose a lot of active members. It feels as though this rich community is about to blossom into the splendour of spring amidst the winter gripping the UK right now. We are getting our ship's compliment back, and I like that idea.

Congratulations, Imogen, for this meeting place for everyone. It truly is descending the time gap...

(Ok, I admit, this does seem like an ode to times of yore, but it amazes me about how the internet can work on occassion!)
