Dear Folks,

So this is where you are all hiding out. I thought I'd drop over to elenarda.com after seeing the blog showing a 404 error for too long, and then I thought I'd register, and was surprised that my old monicker was still active. So how is everyone here? I see that Paula (?) -- Firebolt -- has a new story in the archive. Is she around? It's been a long time no see the good folks at Gryffindor Tower.

I probably won't be too active here. My wife, Erin, gave birth to Vivian about eleven days ago, and our days are full up with feedings and keeping the house clean. It's very fortunate that I took two weeks off work to help out, or else I would not have survived the night feedings, nosiree. And what work I can get out has had to do with some freelance writing, and revisions to "Rosemary and Time" now entitled "The Unwritten Girl". Some of you may remember that novel; I'm pleased to say it has finally been picked up, and will be published by the Dundurn Group this spring.

The Goblet of Fire movie looks good, but unfortunately, I doubt I'll be seeing it in the theatre. Even if we got a babysitter, we're still early into the breastfeeding, and have to be pretty close to the baby. So, we'll see it when it comes out on DVD, I guess. A pity; it does look very good.

All the best to you!

Hi James,

Lovely to see you as always - and you should have noticed our new URL as well. Elenarda.com still forwards to here, but it's entirely fanfic now and we're at www.harryandginny.co.uk. The original writing is elsewhere.

Paula isn't active in anything fanfic as far as I know - it's a link to a very old story - an outtake from Carpe Diem, and my blog has developed a fatal flaw... but it should be back soon.

Glad to see everything's still going well in your life. I remember a newborn when the second (?) movie came out (2002?), so it is possible to do both wink.gif Still looking forward to getting my hands on an actual copy of the book.

Love to you, Erin and Vivian!

Somewhere in the deepest darkest depths of what accounts for my memory at university (so, 92% is an alcoholic solution) I do recall that you beta'd a few chapters for me. Can't remember what for or anything like that, but I definitely remember actually chatting/mailing to you over at gt, so that's something!

Congratulations to you and Erin, and I'm sure Vivian won't mind attending a screening of GoF if you ask her nicely biggrin.gif

Good to hear from you,
yoda
