Here's wishing everyone here the best and brightest of everything for 2006! I've decided life is rather sad and lonely at midnight when you stay home on New Years Eve and live in some little back water of the South Pacific. Come midnight I came to the frightening conclusion that I was sitting on one of 3 parts of the earth where it was Sunday and 2006. And somehow the barely inhabited stretches of the Christmas Islands and the Chatham Islands were not much company. Thank goodness for online friends - I said Happy New Year to Imogen (who at that time was still firmly ensconced in Saturday morning), sent a Happy New Year text to Bart (what was have pre-lunch drinkies in Dublin and probably not thinking about New Year at all) and then twiddled my thumbs waiting for someone else to catch up. So... is it finally 2006 for anyone else here? And did anyone have an absolutley scintilating New Years Eve so I can live vicariously? (not that I didn't have fun talking to Imogen online *grin* ) Anyway, hope you all have a marvellous time! Allie This post has been edited by allie kiwi: Dec 31 2005, 10:14 PM

Happy new year a bit late! It's now about a quarter past five pm on the 1st, and what a wonderful new years it has been!! I've decided that beach parties are the best ... and I just had to go back and fix about five typos, really needs sleep.

Proud Member of the I.S.D. QUOTE “Hey Harry!” said Cedric, strolling up to him. “Did you hear those screams? I almost died!... Is that David Bowie?” “Never mind that, look!” the American exchange student exclaimed. “I found the Triwizard cup! It’s mine! All mine! I’ll finally get the fame and glory and honor I deserve!” “Stupefy,” said Harry. The American exchange student dropped to the ground, stunned. “Woah!” Cedric exclaimed in astonishment. “You can do magic?!” “Come on, Cedric,” Harry sighed. “We’d better take this together. You know, so Draco Malfoy won’t think I’m selfish. I really want to get with him, you know.” -- Silver Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Omelette of Desire Rabbits Have Rights!

Between encasing my foot in a large block of ice, go kart racing, escorting wailing six year olds up and down castle ramparts, drinking, bad (oh so very bad) Scottish dancing, the beaches of Norfolk, the Spanish Inquisition, a horrible virus, rounders and the joy of ping-pong & table tennis, I had a fantastic New Year and I hope you all did too.

PS: I might be back!

Oh wow, Yoda! Is there anything you didn't do? Compared to you, my New Year festivities pale in comparison! However, I would still like to wish everyone a happy and healthy 2006!!!!

Happy New Year (albeit, a bit on the late end) to you all! I had a magical time ringing in the new year with QH by my side. 2006 definitely began on the right track for me!
