You can't really tell it's me writing this, can you?
Right, briefly reading through the nano website rules, I've noted that if you've already started what you're entering you're threatened with death and disembowellment. While I do applaud this idea, I don't approve of it being used on me. Well, not the real me. As will tell you, I'm not averse to having entire continents hefted at me in Y!M
Anyway - the reason I have already started is that I wrote the prologue to my story waaay back when entering it into the nano was just a dream...nightmare...dream... Whatever. Since I decided to enter it into the nano I have removed it from fictionpress in it's current form. I do plan on slightly altering it - those who have had a sneak peek will note the quote in my signature does not match the one I've aready written.
But the question remains, am I still cheating? Answers on a postcard in this thread please And remember what Moody says/will say in chapter 2 - 'It's not paranoia if they're really after you.' - especially if they have big sticks. And threats of disembowellment.
Oh help,
Yoda
I don't think it is cheating as many people have ideas written out somewhere, somehow. I say go through with it, and may the force be with you!
(And watch out for the little bats and balls...)
I'd say you'd be all right if you do 50,000 words on top of anything you've got done. Keeps things fair that way.
I can't do NaNo properly this year because I'm only committing to the word count, not a whole story. I need to finish stuff off before I do anything new. The story I had got for NaNo leaked out of the end of my fingers a couple of months ago, and before I knew what had happened I'd written 10,000 words of it. So I'm stuffed!
So for me, I'm doing 50k words and finishing off 2 stories. But that's not NaNo proper.
Imogen
As suggested, here's my postcard:
*significant applause for the postcode* Nice one
I think that adding 50,000 will turn out to be the easiest option - plus slight re-tweaking of the work I've done. It's only about 2,000 already, so it isn't like I'm losing a lot of my work.
Am puzzled by the 29538...
