I've read a few good books lately. The first was "Contact" by Carl Sagan. As usual, the book was much better than the movie. I really enjoyed the philosophical debates between Ellie, the scientist, and Palmer Joss, the preacher; especially at the end, when suddenly she is without proof to support her experience. Overall, it was a very uplifting story.
Another series that I enjoyed reading was the Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes books written by Laurie King. The first book, "The Beekeeper's Apprentice" was my favourite. I highly recommend these books to anyone who enjoys a good mystery.
