I apologise for the following mess, but I only had 15mins to finish it. I have corrected the spelling mistakes, but nothing else. Som might consider it long...

QUOTE (My mindless typing)
The sun shone brightly in the sky. It was a mad summer’s afternoon and the kids were playing on the beach. They had just broken up from school, and were now wasting their energies in a very constructive way - making sand castles.

Jean, who was busy sunbathing on the sand, heard a small yelp coming from her husband beside her. He was a little on the plump side, and attempted to roll onto his side. Rolling was the operative word as that was all he could do. It came from years of elegant and artful eating that made him this way.

Jean laid back down after sitting up to keep an eye on the kids and find out what Alex, her other half was doing. she felt a little warm and tried to rub sun cream into her skin. She gave up after a while as the kids were digging for dear life and made a hole so deep. But where could the sand go? It couldn’t go anywhere else but thrown over Jean, as the kids knew this would annoy her.

They’ve been pestering her for ice cream ever since they got there, and she thought she’d take them to the café and have a nice meal later on. This wasn’t the case, though. The kids wanted nothing else but ice cream, and Alex wanted something a little more than that. He was hoping for a full dinner plate.

After several hours in the sun, Jean managed to rouse Alex and took the kids to the local restaurant. There, they read the menu and ordered a little more than just ice cream, but knew this would have to follow as desert.

‘Why did kids have to be so difficult,’ thought Jean, who by this time was having enough of them all. Holidays and days off were meant to be fun things. They were meant to be relaxing and completely therapeutic. however, this one was not. This one was trouble right from the beginning, since they got to the beach.
Jean had no idea why. The kids usually loved the sand, the building challenges and the ice cream. She thought Alex liked it too, with the relaxation and the scantly-clad women walking around. This time it was different. Maybe it was the sun. Maybe it was the heat wave that swept across the country at the time. Maybe everyone was a little hotter than they usually were, making them all tired and agitated.

It didn’t matter in the end. As long as they all had fun, that was the main thing. But this wasn’t the case. Jean felt like going home straight away, but feeling hungry, she felt she had to eat first. She watched as the handsome waiter came by and placed the food in front of them, she watched as the kids gobbled up their food. She watched her husband down his food as if he was against a fifteen minute time limit, and she felt bad.

On the way home, the kids were acting up in the back. Again. It was a continual “Are we there yet?” as most kids do, and this made her frustrated and want to get home faster.

What had gotten into this lot today? She thought long and hard and thought she knew the answer. The kids obviously were hotter in the heat wave, Alex looked baked in the sun, and the wholesome meal of baked potatoes and baked beans didn’t help.

When Jean got home, she wrote a stern letter to the guys at the Oxford English Dictionary, and asked if they could omit the word “Baked” from the next edition. Maybe then could she enjoy her holidays. But what about the meal? I suppose it didn’t matter - she loved lasagne over baked beans, any day!
