I was reading The Da Vinci Code and I stumbled upon something that caught my breath. It has a list of the Grand Masters of the Priory of Sion and on that list was none other than Nicolas Flamel. I don't know if it is coincidence or not, but I wonder if J.K. has any secret meanings in her book that are a little darker than we think.

Any opinions?

A quick google search will reveal lots of information about Nicolas Flamel. Not a great surprise that two authors would choose to use him, as probably the name most associated with alchemy.

Having said that, it IS surprising that JKR should use the name of a genuine historical character. I can't think of any other examples in the HP lexicon, except for Merlin of course?

Definately intriguing! unsure.gif
