*in the style of Jack Black*

NaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaNoooooooooooooooo!

It's here again, and my barmy self is already signed up, itching, raring and out of plot ideas, so I'm definitely taking part!

Anyone else? Who's got ideas? Discuss! Newbies! We need newbies!

For those of you who have no idea what I'm on about, please go here. For those of you who do no what I'm on about, go here anyway and sign up if you haven't already! Or just log back in if you haven't yet tongue.gif

I will say one thing, I've no plots but I've got titles: 'Dreamweaver', '8-I: Second Iteration' and 'Timeshift' are all potential titles with tiny plot ideas (although the middle one is a sequel to last year's winner, so at least I have characters already!)

I'm raring to go. Got a title and a plot. Just got to finish PA (last Nano's effort) before the end of this month or I'm doomed.

Almost there... 061.gif

I really want to take part, but I'm afraid I won't have the time! I've just started two jobs, one of which is a retail job, so November is going to be hectic! I think I'm gonna have to tough it out tho wink.gif

I seem to remember it actually gets more fun when you're totally busy - I finished last year at about three a.m. on the morning of the final day after writing about eight thousand words to meet the word count, leading to a great day at work where I was nodding off most of the time.

Good news is I've got a plot now, went with 'Dreamweaver' in the end, nice little supernatural horror type thing I reckon, inspired by both 'Supernatural' and 'Hellboy/B.P.R.D.', as well as my usual attempted mimicry of the skill of Joss Whedon when it comes to writing. And Tarantino in the dialogue.

So far I'm onto the characters in terms of planning, just need to work on some plot next.

I don't know what to expect. I heard about it through this site a few months ago, actually, so I've never taken part, but the second I heard about it I knew I wanted to try. Didn't expect my life to have reached the level of stress I have going right now though, haha. The good news is that I have at least one plot idea ready to go, and some character stuff and a bit of a stepsheet/plotline too. But I'm such a procrastinator, I know I'll have to actually write myself a schedule each week when I find out when I'm working haha!

Maybe when it's not midnight I'll actually 100% decide what I'm doing and post a little blurb about it. wink.gif

PLANNING? You've done planning? I'm very disapointed in you...

My goodness, wouldn't this be the perfect opportunity to finally get that idea I have out? It's fully fleshed, it's novel-sized... but I'm already tearing my hair out trying to get everything done I have on my todo list already!

Argh! My kingdom for four more hours in the day!

...although its been so long since I've done more than lurked on this board, and I miss everyone, it would be neat to have something people are doing together... teehee.gif

my brother just asked me to do a contest to see who can write a novel first...how appropriate! I just explained what nanowrimo was too haha, that's funny. Imagine his surprise when I said "well, I'm planning on writing one in the month of november anyway...." wink.gif

oh, and that means I'm in too...

But if I didn't plane the novel as I went it would be to lumpy to fit on my pc screen tongue.gif In case no one looks at the front page of the site, here's my comment on your awesome word counters:
QUOTE(yoda @ 05 Nov 2006, sometime pm)

I'll get you yet young Bart!

Come on Imogen, we've got to trounce the upstart!

I've had a bit of a slow start so far (I think I'm at half of what I should be on...) but hopefully that'll pick up while watching LotR tonight. That said, I'm breaking off at 10pm to watch Spurs thrash Chelsea with Dad.

Imogen, Bart and anyone else taking part (if you are and aren't up - throw something at Bart!), I wish you all the best of luck!

But I'm totally going to win, so nyah! tongue.gif

I'm quite happy with the current progression - I'm only on the second proper chapter (having my sneaky 'dramatis personae' chapter take the first fifty words or so as usual) which is already developing my characters nicely.

Which is good, because plot is still at an all time low! biggrin.gif

Progress! Let's hear progress!

Well, after a ridiculously slow start, when I slept of an evening instead of writing blink.gif I've spent the weekend dragging myself back into line, and am now exactly where I should be word count wise.

Now, I'm tinkering with plot, drinking a beer, watching Planet Earth on BBC1 and then everything will stop for Captain Jack Harkeness and the Torchwood gang.
