Well it's now Saturday morning for me, and I am pleased to announce that at precisely midnight last night I wrote my first paragraphs! Woohooo!

It was purely accidental, actually.

I have a leg injury which is maknig it very difficult to sleep, and I was very restless last night. Suddenly the first few paragrpahs popped into my head and I had to write them down (whole fanfics sometimes do that to me - eg 'Some Day My Prince Will Come...' ) The I looked at my watch and it was midnight! Myt body must have just known that it was time to start NaNoWriMo!

I've done my first bit now as well and I'm feeling very nervous and very creative all at the same time. I've got this afternoon to keep the ball rolling and see if I can do chapter 2 as well today (hopefully hitting the 6,000 word mark before bed time). I'll post that in the morning.

Now that I'm actually writing it, it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be, but I know I can't keep this pace up. Long live the nervous energy wink.gif

Being in Slytherin, she’d thought it had been the epitome of cool to return to school with such useful snakey phrases as “Can you pass the apple pie, please?” and “Would you be good enough to tell me what time the train to Madrid departs from Platform Two?”
