I know I spend a lot of time on a computer daily, and it does have its side effects.  For example, You know you've been at the computer too long...When you look for the 'back button' after you've done a mistake in life. When, in middle of a test, you say "ctrl+x" instead of erasing regularly. When you say 'LOL' in middle of a conversation. And, yes, they've all happened to me Have Fun

You also know when you've been at the computer too long...
When you install food when eating.
When the nearby window needs a pointer and a close button.
When, in case of problems, you try and find a Control, Alt and Delete button.
When you speed down the information superhighway in your car.
When the World Wide Web is in the corner of your room, complete with spider.
When you expect your microwave to accept a CD to run.
When you always type or write "window" as "Windows".
When you think a window pane is a problem with Microsoft.
When you expect to see a painting made of pixels.
When a paperless office is the opposite of your computer room at home.
When you have withdrawl symptoms when you're not on Elenarda.

Guilty! I have definately experienced that.

But did you also know that you've been at the computer too long...
when you look for the Start button when you are bored.
when you try and find a program to read a book.
when you file your filing cabinet like your computer - using folders and files.

Yeah, but I find you also know that you've been at the computer too long...
when you think that you'll see the Blue Screen of Death when your life flashes before your eyes.
when the dark reminds you of a blank screen.
when the first game you play when bored is Solitaire (US) or Patience (UK).
when you think "pixilated" is a term for bad eyesight.

Ultimately though, you've definitely been at the computer too long when...you start digging up old threads for something to write in!

You Know You've Been At The Computer Too Long...{quoting my 8-year-old nephew} "When your head becomes square and your neck becomes sort of flat and your ears all of a sudden can pick up stuff from like hundreds of miles and they have a on/off button and your belly-button is the button for the CD-Rom and you go dzzzzzzz, dzzzzzz, dzzzzzzz for no reason every two minutes."
