061.gif Here's wishing everyone here the best and brightest of everything for 2006! 061.gif

I've decided life is rather sad and lonely at midnight when you stay home on New Years Eve and live in some little back water of the South Pacific. Come midnight I came to the frightening conclusion that I was sitting on one of 3 parts of the earth where it was Sunday and 2006. And somehow the barely inhabited stretches of the Christmas Islands and the Chatham Islands were not much company.

Thank goodness for online friends - I said Happy New Year to Imogen (who at that time was still firmly ensconced in Saturday morning), sent a Happy New Year text to Bart (what was have pre-lunch drinkies in Dublin and probably not thinking about New Year at all) and then twiddled my thumbs waiting for someone else to catch up.

So... is it finally 2006 for anyone else here? And did anyone have an absolutley scintilating New Years Eve so I can live vicariously? (not that I didn't have fun talking to Imogen online *grin* )

Anyway, hope you all have a marvellous time!

Allie

Being in Slytherin, she’d thought it had been the epitome of cool to return to school with such useful snakey phrases as “Can you pass the apple pie, please?” and “Would you be good enough to tell me what time the train to Madrid departs from Platform Two?”
